Katy Jo Power Skating Certified Coach

Welcome to OliviaSloanSkating
Meet Olivia:
I grew up on ice in Greenville, South Carolina. I have been skating for over 15 years and have been able to have several different opportunities involving skating. In my competitive career, I am a 4-time Gold Medalist in Gold Moves in the Field, Gold Solo Dance, Senior Free Dance, and Gold Partner Dance. As well as testing 2 international dances. After leaving the competition world, I found my passion for teaching because of my love for kids. As a certified Learn to Skate USA instructor, I taught LTS at the Pavilion for several years and then dove into private lessons. I grew up with a dad and brother who shared a love for skating through hockey, and after my competitive years of power skating training, I found a new love for hockey and the importance of learning how to skate and build power, and apply it to figure skating and hockey skills. I have now completed training with Katy Jo, and serve as a Katy Jo Power Skating Certified Coach. No matter the skill level, age, or skating content, my goal is to grow my students' knowledge of their sport and the importance of technique in order to give them the tools they need to be successful while enjoying and growing their passion. While I have a love for skating, if I am not at the rink, you will find me on the golf course. As I left the competitive world of Figure Skating, I entered the competitive world of golf, as I am now a collegiate golfer at Anderson University.

Meet Jake:
Hi, I'm Jake Pellerin, Olivia's brother and the “brains” behind the hockey side of things here at Olivia Sloan Skating. I was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, and have been skating for about 15 years. I started in Learn to Skate at age 3 before moving into Learn to Play Hockey and eventually playing youth hockey with the Greenville Jr. Road Warriors (GGHA). Those early years gave me a strong foundation and introduced me to coaches and mentors who helped shape me both as a player and as a person. As I got older, I spent a season with the Carolina Rage before joining the Nashville Jr. Predators, where I played AAA hockey and learned to play at an elite level. Living away from home at a young age helped me grow both on and off the ice. To prepare for junior hockey, I attended South Kent School in Connecticut. I'm now beginning my junior hockey career after being drafted into the NAHL, earning a spot with a GOHL team in Canada, and pursuing my goal of making an OHL roster.
Over the past several years, Olivia has helped turn skating into the strongest part of my game. Now, I'm excited to help the next generation of players develop that same confidence and ability. Whether you're just learning to skate or looking to gain an edge in hockey, I'm passionate about helping players improve while giving back to the Greenville hockey community that gave me my start.
